Discover the medieval village of Monteriggioni, with its imposing fortress dating back to the 13th century. Have a walk along its stone cobbled streets, admire the landscape from its intact towers, feeling the atmosphere which inspired the divine poet Dante Alighieri.
Driving along panoramic roads, we will reach Castellina in Chianti, a village with Etruscans origins fortified by the Florentines and one of the first towns to be part of the Chianti wine region.
Treat yourself with a full lunch in a terrace overlooking the vineyards around Panzano in Chianti: you will taste a wide selection of Tuscan flavors and the finest red wines. The wine tasting includes Chianti Classico DOCG, IGT wines and a visit of the cellar producing wines since 1720; you could also buy a selection of wines, delicious extra-virgin olive oil or balsamic vinegar with a special discount.
The tour ends with a gelato (ice cream) in Greve in Chianti, the hub of the local wine industry, which has kept the quiet atmosphere of a little village.
